Everything else on WeatherSignal is hidden here. This screen shows only what is happening where you are, what to do about it, and who to call.

“Use my location” asks your browser for your coordinates so we can load your local forecast and any official warnings for your area. Your coordinates are used for that request only: they are not stored on our servers, sold, or used to build a profile. If your browser blocks location, we fall back to an approximate city-level lookup from your IP address.

  • ADVISORYalert level: AdvisoryWind Advisory

Wind Advisory issued October 16 at 7:50PM PDT until October 17 at 2:00PM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA

Expires 10/17/2026, 3:00:00 PM · issued by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA

    What to do

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. In the event of a nearby wildfire, smoke may increase heat and physical stress. If smoke impacts your area; 1) Have a cooling plan in place as smoke could limit your ability to cool your home through open windows and 2) If you have air conditioning, set on air recirculation within the home to avoid smoke exposure. Local officials may have additional guidance.
